In Axial flow fans, the air or gas flows parallel to the impeller axis.

PASS axial flow fans cover a wide range of air quantities and pressures, and are suitable for common ventilation plants as well as special industrial installations.

All PASS axial flow fans have cast aluminium alloy impellers with high efficiency aerofoil section blades. They are designed for an optimum relation between air quantity, pressure and power consumption.

Axial flow fans: Type - PASS
PASS is a low and medium pressure fan. The impeller is mounted on the motor shaft in a wall frame or casing. It can also be mounted on an extended shaft for V-Belt drive.

PASS fans are equipped with foot-mounted induction motor totally enclosed and suitable for 400/440V, 3 phase, 50 cycles, AC supply Motor of a particular make can be incorporated on request, in which case the supporting arrangement for the motor will differ from the dimension print, to suit the motor in question.

PASS fans can be supplied in any of the arrangements described below:
Type -1
This arrangement is used for blowing air or gas so hot that the fan motor must be mounted outside the air current. The wall frame has a streamlined inlet. The impeller is attached to one end of the shaft, supported by two ban bearings in one common housing, which is supported by a bracket fitted, to the wall frame. A coupling or pulley can be attached to the other free end of the shaft.

Type -2
In this arrangement the fan shaft and its bearings are mounted in a bearing housing fastened by three support arms to the surrounding casing. The casing is of MS sheet but can also be manufactured from aluminium sheet, if desired. It has flat iron flanges and a large inspection door.

Type -3
The motor is placed in a housing outside the casing and from there the impeller is driven by means of V-Belts. These belts move inside one of the support arms and are thus protected from contact with air or gas in the duct. The large inspection door and the construction of the bearing housing facilitate the V-Belts.

Type -4
This arrangement is suitable for mounting on roofs or in ducts. The casing is of all-welded sheet steel construction with flat iron flanges.
While mounting in ducts, the installation must be planned so that the fan can be taken out if required. Arrangement - Duct for roof extractor is provided, if required with a special hood to prevent water leakage.
